It's not an Island... and it's not very Grand

Greetings from Nebraska. Candess and I survived our first day on the road driving approx. 10 hours from Madison, WI to Grand Island, NE. We spent most of our day trekking across Iowa looking for a Mobil station (with no succcess!). When we finally crossed over into Nebraska, we were in luck. See, we have a generously donated Mobil/Exxon/Chevron gas card and that's why we were getting so frustrated that Iowa apparently boycotts those gas stations. But hey... the sooner we got out of there, the better. We were also pretty lucky to find our Motel 6 was right off the Interstate.
Tomorrow holds another exciting day of driving to Colorado Springs. Hopefully we'll be able to give you an update from there.
